Witch Sculpt W.I.P

Here is a very work-in-progress sculpt that I've been doing at work. I typically like to have a sculpture to work on while I am on break from cg modeling. Its better than Zbrush or Mudbox :)

Orc paintover

I've been in a z-brush painting mood recently. Its nice to see actual color on my typically grey shaded models.

Demon Sculpture

I have not had the chance to update in a long while so I figured I'd do a short update with a fairly old sculpture of mine. My friend Lana had her fancy Leica camera during one of our sculpting nights after work, so I asked her to take a pic of this thing thats been gathering dust in one corner of my desk. Not that the fancy camera made the sculpture look any better mind you. There are a lot of areas I would love to fix or explore with this character, but for now he will just remain as a study. More updates will come soon.

Mud Creature

Played around with mudbox several days ago and came up with this critter.

sculptures

Some sculptures of mine that a friend took with his insanely expensive camera. Gotta giveprops to Sunny Wei for taking the time in helping me set these up. I had these taken for the purpose of submitting them to this year's Richard Macondald Workshop in Monterey. I took it last year, and it was one of the most inspiring art-related things I've ever done. To be around a master such as Richard was a truly humbling experience.

Wish me luck! Hope I get in this year!

Drawing night at work

One of the biggest perks where I work is that we have free drawing and sculpting sessions every Tuesday and Wed nights. The company provides the space, pays for the model and supplies the food. We truly are a spoiled bunch because of this.
This night's model was great. Makes me wish I made it to the gesture warm-ups since looking at the image above, I clearly needed to loosen up. These were 10 to 20 minute poses.
